The Victorian era provided a wealth of decorative ornamental designs that can be translated with the pointed pen. Beyond pressure and release techniques, the pointed pen can create delicate pen etched drawings. Using Victorian inspiration, we will explore designs that can be used as borders or serve as small frames and labels to embellish note cards and envelopes. Designs can remain as monochromatic etchings or you can choose to enrich your work with watercolours using a line and wash technique. This process is peaceful and meditative and a delight to explore. Anything that can flow through the pointed pen can be used in this process as very little pressure is exerted on the pointed pen. I look forward to sharing this course with you.
