Rabbit Season – Study Day

Saturday May 16th, 2026 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM ET

Glazed Dry Brushing Technique

Welcome to Rabbit Season! Our 2026 Study Days will be spent in the Enchanted Meadow as we fine tune miniature painting techniques. Study Days are meant to fill in a much needed gap of online class experiences. Rather than observing the teacher and taking notes, students will be able to work along through a project in real time. During our session, we will illustrate, gild and paint a small rabbit motif in an acanthus setting. This session will focus on a blended watercolour technique that combines gossamer layers of delicate dry brushing and burnishes of light glazes. This creates a very soft effect on the paper that is easier to control than dry brushing alone. The final piece will be suitable for framing or a printed card design. All skill levels are welcome in this online Zoom presentation. The cost for the study day is $80.00 US. Please give us 2 to 3 days to process your registration. Once registered, students will receive a complete supply list as well as the Zoom link and access to a private discussion board for the course. Students are encouraged to attend the session live, but the recording, discussion board and feedback will be available for 6 months after the class. Let’s explore the Enchanted Meadow together as we create a delightful miniature illumination.
