The Victorian Pen workshop evolved out of numerous requests to add an advanced component to the popular Artful Flourish workshop. Throughout the course, we look at ideas that are inspired from the Victorian era and bring the colours and styles forward into our designs. Historic Offhand Flourishing often started with a pencil sketch. The use of a pencil allows the student to plan their flourish before using the pen and ink. The Victorian Pen class will introduce pencil techniques to the terrified. Even if you think you cannot draw at all, this class will demystify the process of more complex deigns. From corners, to ribbon, scrolls and birds, we can make these designs as complex as you desire. The use of 23K gold leaf can be introduced to these designs, and you can colour them with watercolour or coloured pencil.
